Kyiv is a dynamic city where movement is life. He is modern, advanced, his core moves forward. What is in that core? Everyone in Kyiv probably will say that the core of Kyiv is Khreshchatyk, Andriivsky, Podil. This is the Golden Gate and Volodymyr Hill, the Vydubytsky Monastery and the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. They are beautiful. Really beautiful in its archaic modernity, in its present and in its past. Therefore, Kyiv is eternal. It does not look like most cities in Ukraine and the world. He is strange on his own. Here, along with the tumultuous baroque houses, there are young guys with guitars and singing Ukrainian rock, here they can play "Martina Borulu" in theaters, and there may be "The Living Corpse", here banners of political propaganda and "metro-museum" of Ukrainian artists coexist here. Contemporary Kyiv is a complex conglomerate of images and signs of the past, present and future.
